Zonal systems

The Detek zonal system is a detection system designed to be used in situations where not just flooding but also undue dampness could cause damage or ultimately become dangerous.

The system comprises an electronic monitoring and alarm control panel connected to sensors located in the area rquiring protection and can be custom made with a variety of detection sensors to suit the characteristics of the areas to be covered. The system has been designed for ease of installation and ensure a high degree of reliability.

Main control panels

Housed in a robust cabinet, our control panels provide accurate sensing for water leakage along with comprehensive alarm facilities. The system is ideal for all types of applications utilising a mixture of sensors on a single control panel for optimum flexibility.

All systems have a test facility to enable simple regulare confidence checking of the equipment.

Repeater panels

Where large buildings are to be protected, it may be necessary to incorporate a number of systems (per floor for example). In this situation it is often desirable to bring all alarm signals together in a security room or 24 hour manned area. Repeater panels will provide status indication of up to eight remotely located water detection alarms.

The repeater panels have fully functional mute and test facilities. Wiring between the repeater and water detection panels is constantly monitored for faults.

Water / Oil Sensors

Sensing Cable: Cable or Tape sensors are suitable for general protection under false floors, or can be fastened directly to pipe work enabling coverage in ceiling void areas. The cables can be connected together, up to 100m, to cater for larger areas. For each zone a "start of line" and an "end of line" module is required. Comprises of high flexibility condunctors insulated by Helagaine monofilament braiding.

Sensor Pad: Pads will detect a few cc's of liquid and can be either face up or face down for locations under vulnerable points or general coverage. For face down sensors a cover is available. Constructed from glass fibre with an anti-corrosive nickle plated surface.

Probe Sensor: These are the least sensitive and are often employed as a water level sensor. In general use the sensor is inclosed in a protective cover, which also provides a means of fixing. The probe is designed for vertical mounting at skirting level, though maybe mounted in voids or sumps. A screw adjustment is available to allow for variance in allowable water level.

Float Switch: To be used in water tanks to provide either high or low level alarms. Versions can be supplied in an enclosure to allow mounting in voids or on roofs.

Oil Sensor: For use when detecting oil only.
