Leak sensing systems

The LeakSense Aqualarm control panel will transmit a low voltage pulsed echo signal along any leader or jumper cables. Water in contact with the detecting cable, damage or disconnection of any of the cables will result in a change of the cable characteristics stored in the control panel’s memory. An audible and visual alarm giving the type of alarm detected will be initiated and displayed on the control panel facia. The distance in metres giving rise to the alarm will be displayed on the LCD screen.

The Aqualarm LeakSense water leak detection system is based on high technology Pulsed Echo RADAR signals. When the system is commissioned it stores in its memory the characteristics of the LeakSense detecting cable together with any jumper cables connected to the system. Pulsed signals are transmitted along the full length of the LeakSense cable and jumper. The echo returned to the LSP control panel is compared with the stored characteristic.

The LSP control panel will decipher this information and dependent upon any changes in the characteristics will initiate the appropriate action. The LSP control panel will give indication of an alarm by displaying on the LCD display screen the distance in metres from the control panel that has given rise to the alarm. Dependent on the type of alarm, either the alarm LED or the open circuit LED will illuminate and a buzzer will sound. Outputs for connection to Building Management Systems of for switching purposes and Mains Fail Battery Back Up are also available.

LSP-12

An encapsulated siplay map showing an outline of the areas being protected together with the route of the LeakSense cable calibrated in metres shall be displayed adjacent to the LSP Control Panel to aid identification of the location of the alarm.

LSP-12s

A further screen incorporated into the Control Panel facia shows an outline of the areas being protected, together with the route of the LeasSense cable calibrated in metres.
